The #CreativityWillSaveUs series http://creativepoisn.com/creativity-will-save-us/ is a project, a series of videos https://bit.ly/CreativityWillSaveUs , a podcast show https://bit.ly/CreativityWillSaveUsPodcastEpisode 1, and a social media campaign where prominent figures from the world of art, culture, and entertainment come together to reflect on the central value that art brings to humanity during the challenging quarantine times of the global pandemic emergency. And, in support of the global community of artists who are seeing all of their venues temporarily shutting down to safely prevent the spreading of the Corona Virus.
The series is also intended to be a testimony to give to the posterity of the current times we are living, and on how the artists of our time are living them. What are the artists, the performers, the intellectuals telling us and teaching us of our world of today and how can we make sense with them of this transitional time and co-create with them the world of tomorrow?
The project was launched on April 7th, 2020, and it is reaching thousands of people worldwide through our website, social media channels (YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOj-BjK5a5Qf7rvNjmZst_A, Facebook https://www.facebook.com/creativepoison/, Instagram https://www.instagram.com/creativepois_on/), and through our podcast - distributed on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/41GCbwv4DtlluW7Vbsrrp8, Stitcher https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/creative-poison-podcast, Apple Podcast https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/creative-pois-on-podcast/id1482136173?ign-mpt=uo%3D4, iHeart Radio https://www.iheart.com/podcast/966-creative-pois-on-podcast-51338860/, Outcast https://overcast.fm/itunes1482136173/creative-pois-on-podcast, Spreaker https://www.spreaker.com/user/creativepoison, among the other channels. Starting from our circle of artists who have been enriching the pages of our platform, from our podcast show to our editorial project, the series is now embracing a constellation of a different variety of artists and artistic expressions from all over the world. Many artists have been reaching out to us to collaborate in the project and to share their vision of the current state of emergency and the future of the world as well as of the art world. All together they raise a voice that can break through these walls of isolation sending everybody a positive message that #CreativityWillSaveUs and #TheShowWillGoOn. And that we can spend this time making the most out of our creative powers.
And the general public affection has been so far, so incredibly encouraging and rewarding. Every day we receive direct messages from people from Europe and the U.S., mainly, thanking us for the series and how much it is inspiring them and filling them with hope. The audience is also thrilled to enter the world of these evocative artists and find them to be also just human beings, sharing the same needs, the same fears and anxieties for the future. So, we’ve come to the realization that this project is going far behind a simple showcase of beautiful art. It is becoming an educational mission as well, full of purpose, that we think it could be a valuable asset also for our next generation, a channel through which teenagers and millennials can learn about the different purposes and richness of life through the lesson of the artists who have been intensely living it, documenting it and gifting it to the world.
In the long run, we are seeing our project growing into a larger and stronger web series, with the goal to keep on collecting the testimony of many different artists and intellectuals and to distribute it through the major channels, both online and on-demand. Our next step would be to propose it to platforms like Topic, Netflix, Hulu, HBO, National Geographic, History Channel and so on and so forth. We would love #CreativityWillSaveUs to literally circle the world with its creative embrace. And we are looking forward to building also a stronger production asset. This project can turn into an episodic series as well as a full-length documentary. We also wish to establish a collaboration with the educational system and its institutions, like Montessori for example, in order to develop new ways to distribute quality content for students as well as for the teachers and their professional training. And our artists could also serve as lecturers and mentors for the students.
Creativity is already one of the most important leadership qualities according to all the major studies, from IBM to Adobe. And this pandemic emergency is highlighting this, showing how creativity, art, and culture can be enormously impactful when it comes to innovation in times when the whole humanity is asking for new tools, both practically and mentally, to face the upcoming of a brand-new world, with different rules. From the contributions of these incredible artists, we are not only documenting an epochal shift, but we are also sharing new ways of thinking out of the boxes that a few weeks ago we felt as solid and secure. Through creative minds, we can construct also the business models of tomorrow. And we can recuperate a lesson from the past if we think about such enlightened civilizations like the Ancient Greeks, for whom, the artists, the philosophers, and the poets were the true leaders. They realized way before time, that it takes a creatives' leadership to push society into the next step of evolution.
